AC Power Connector

I remember there was a warning someone gave on this forum "a long time" ago about do's and don't when soldering your own power cable for the red one ... i have been using the search function, but i can't find the thread.

can someone please provide a link or repost the warning?

I'm pretty sure the warning was to make sure you wire both positive (red with orange) and both negative (black with brown) wires together if you're adapting RED's lemo or power pack. I'm pretty sure that's because the gauge is pretty thin.

I just rewired my lemo and v-mount so I could extend the power away from the camera using a 4 pin din cable. This also lets me run off a charger or anything else with a 4 pin din. So far so good.
