  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

need help!!!!

i'm not the owner and red won't let me download build 15 with out username and password.
The vendor is closed, does anyone have the build somewhere to download or
could pm me with it.

i would greatly appreciate it. We are in a fix and need to get it figured out asap

Is this a "first time issue" or were you able to mount prior and now you cannot. Do you know if perhaps you forgot to UNMOUNT before removing?

FROM MANUAL
Unmount: select to un-mount digital media from the RED ONE camera in a failsafe manner. The camera operating system will ensure that all files are closed, hard disk heads (if present) are parked, log files written and CF card or RED-DRIVE magazine is properly powered down.

Should I restore, reinstall build, what????

the media box just says Drop with a zero under it.

If the camera has been dropped its more likely a hardware issue, but assuming that its not -

Media Drop box is not relevant - what is relevant is the lower left corner of the GUI on the LCD or EVF - what does it say when you put the CF card in?


Reloading the firmware almost certainly isn't the answer ...
 
the digital magazine box says "none attached"

when i go to hit record it says RECORDING ERROR: NO_DIG_MAG

when i go to format it says:

The Magazine Formatting Failed.
The magazine isn't fast enough to support the current project.
Please change the project settings before formatting the media.

I've changed the settings and no such luck.
 
Ah...Change your project settings to 2K 2:1 at 24 FPS and then try to format again. It SHOULD format it. Then go ahead and format back to whatever you want. I've seen this issue before. This has fixed it in the past.

So you were able to install the firmware from CF card? If so, yet you can't mount a CF card in the camera, that's really weird.

Are the error messages for the Drive the same or different than what you're getting with the cards?

Inspect the CF slot, make sure you don't have any bent pins.

Starting to look like the camera may need to go in for service.
