Zeiss T1.4 'speeds w/VP permanent PL mounts

[John Pinella]

Set of five Zeiss 35mm format Superspeed lenses. Originally with bayonet mount, I had these converted to the VERY nice Visual Products permanent PL mounts last fall. All lenses were gone through and lubed then, and have had only a few days' use since. They still have the "ears" for focus and iris with the 35BL lens blimp, could be easily removed. Beautiful condition, look nearly new. 80mm fronts, of course. Lots of pics available.

PRICE DROP! Now $16,000 or best offer! I bought these from Stuart at Focus Optics, then last fall had the VP permanent PL mounts affixed. Focus gears are perfect.

I don't really want to ship these outside the USA. You can PM me or email to jpinella@earthlink.net.

And, if anybody needs an Arri 35BL1, or 16SR package... They are on ebay or will be soon.

Here's a few more pics of the T1.4 Superspeeds with permanent PL mounts.

And a new lower price: $18,500.

Bump. If you are going to be near Indianapolis come check these out. Any offers? PM me, or I guess ebay is next.

[Ronnie Wenngren]

I´ll guess the price is too high for an early generation highspeeds.

[John Pinella]

Okay, how about $19,000; no,wait, $18,50; no wait, $17,000, no, wait, $16,000! Essentially the same glass as later 35mm superspeeds (according to the lens tech who installed the PL mounts.)

[Kevin Jones]

Are these the early B-speed style with triangle/ 3 blade style Iris?

[John Pinella]

Yes, these lenses have the three bladed iris. And are now on ebay, as well as here.

[John Pinella]

Wow, these nice lenses don't seem to be doing any good on ebay either. The only reason I'm selling them is that I bought a set of T1.3 superspeeds along with an Angenieux HR 25-250 as a package.

I can't say that I see any difference from the T1.3 'speeds, and was told by the lens tech at Visual Products that there was virtually no difference in the glass. They do have the 3 blade iris, and when I've seen any bokeh, I thought it looked good. I think I paid around $2500 to have the PL mounts put on by VP, and I bought these originally from Stuart at Focus Optics.

What do you folks think they are worth?

[XiaoSu Han]

Prices have definitely dropped on those and the market for Superspeeds is kind of saturated at the moment.

I'd guess around 15K would be a going price now.

[John Pinella]

Back p on ebay, minimum bid $12k!

[Gunleik Groven]

I'd have loved to pick these up...
