Hi, I'm shooting in 24fps on camera, I would like to know if I go 30fps for sound as usual in film, and would like to know if the denecke going on the genlock plug should be as well on 30fps or 24fps....
Thank you

Timecode for separate sound

Yes, shoot the camera at 23.98 (timecode, plus video genock if you wish) and send sound timecode at 29.97 ...

HI
We're having problems synching the denecke with the Red one.
What is a proper configuration to do so?
Please help.
Thanks

You must go in the designated timecode LEMO connector and not the genlock mini BNC to accomplish the jam

We have a lemo connector and we have racked our brains - we're also having problems with the Denecke and build 15, using Ambient clock-it as the timecode/tri-level sync source.

Tell us what you are doing, and I can comment - or P.M me if you prefer.

Your sync boxes should be outputting 23.976 timecode and 1080P Tri-Level sync. Be advised that a 5-pin Lemo to BNC cable is probably wired for TC to travel in one direction (i.e., as an Input cable or an Output cable). If it is wired as an Input instead of an Output, the Red will not "see" the timecode at all. If you are using a Lemo-Lemo cable, and it is wired correctly (bi-directional), then it should work properly. Also, check the switch settings on your sync box to verify you're sending the proper references.

Denecke SBT settings for 23.976ND TC and 1080P Tri-Level Sync
Rotary Switch = 4 (23.976 TC)
Mode Switch = 0,0 (both down) for 1080 Progressive

Ambient ACL202CT settings for 23.976ND TC and 1080 Progressive Tri-Level Sync

Dip Switches:
1=down
2=up
3=down
4=down
5=up
6=up
7=up

A and B switches: Switch both to the right
