  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Element Technicas new accessories

Hard drive mount looks good- simple design but lots of flexibility on where you want to mount it. Nice. Hopefully if you need to change out drives on the spot it's a quick change-over. Would like to not have to break out tools to complete the task.

How long does the AB Hytron 140 compare to 1 Red brick battery in run time? Love to know...

Also, is ET still working on a shoulder support design?
 
Let me play devil's advocate and say that the drive mount, while cool, still has the basic problem of using solid connections between the drive and the camera body, so the same problem can occur if the camera gets vibration.

Is anyone designing a shock mount for the drive to isolate potential vibrations? That's the cage I'd pay for.

That's my first reaction too. If you're going to build a hard drive mount you may as well build in a vibration solution too.

The hard drive could probably be rubber banded over a couple rods with foam rubber in between and you'd have fast, cheap and vibration reduced.
