From what I understand, lots of film gear can be used on the Red One - matte box, lenses, follow focus.

Now, from my focus pulling days I still have a changing tent for sizes up to 35mm film. I imagine that this should work fine with current and near-future CF cards. It should work fine on the soon- to- be 16gb and super 16gb cards, and likely also on 35gb cards. But what about 65gb cards or the 320gb drive?Surely, they must be too big? Will there be a Red tent?

Well you know as CF cards are impervious to light leaks and exposure from the sun so I'd think a changing tent would be at best irrelevant and at worst would make you look kinda silly. Or were you kidding? :detective2:

I thought the new Red 65GB card had a larger seal to prevent light leaks. The problem occurs when transferring the footage from the 65GB card to your RAID. I think Red uses the NAB tent when making the transfer and i was told it will soon be available on the Red store in a slightly smaller version.

BTW- this is the real reason for the camera delays, solving the light leak on the larger media.

And dont forgert to peek in lenses with your torch during shooting!
Also from time to time is recomended to change your underwear ... cold shower helps too...

Red Chemicals

Make sure you tell the Lab to only use RED branded chemicals and make sure the CF cards get a good rinse before drying them.

Now can anybody tell me if I need to use an extended development time for the REDdrives? The first time I tried it I couldn't see the results clearly, or at all actually so I'm thinking I may have under-developed??

Also, I've read some mumblings about being able to reuse Cards and Drives - WTF. Why anybody would possibly want to do that is beyond me....:w00t:

If you wipe them only with a soft cloth in circular patterns they are pretty safe.

But you want to keep them away from magnets.

I want to stock up on the super16gb CF cards, is storing in the refrigerator needed for these?
