  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

final version of the COLD STORAGE trailer is now online

The voice over is very cool and very in now, the whole thing is about references to the past and the return of whats buried underneath the present.

Those referances are working on several levels and the voice over is one of them.

Its a genre thing ( Choice not accident ) that plays to a new slicker audience who are also just now discovering certain traditions and simultaniously to an older hard core audience who is already in the know.

A reference to what exactly, It's just a poorly put on crackly voice reading stuff thats already thrown up on screen.
Maybe if the guy putting on the crackly voice was any good I'd think differently.
I can read just fine dogday I don't need some voice over guy to do it for me... unless it's Don lafontaine.

Everyone has a right to their opinion...Thats yours you read mine=We are cool.

Don't forget that it's a trailer.

Can you imagine a trailer without a VO?

Actually, when I think of it, that would be really bold but not necessarily bad.

An artsy, entirely visual trailer :).

Or one that is based solely on lines from the film itself.

To try and catch the audience's attention.

Karapetkov,

Its a teaser. Its extremely sophisticated. They worked hard to get it right. Its considered by many to be the best footage so far to date ( Totally subjective of course ).

Its Iridas SpeedGrade behind the magnificent color work. Obviously these tools in the hands of artists can really create results that can compete with anything out there...And win...Hands down.

Any adjustments to this teaser are simply cosmetic.

Its a show stopper...Period.

DogDay

One of the best RED footage I've seen and definitely the cleanest digital low-light footage I've ever seen so far.

Can't wait to see the feature film.

Good luck with funding! :gun:

Wow,

thats the kind of discussion we anticipated :)

Thanks guys, this is really cool. Makes me have a nice sunday evening now. Will have a good wine on you, cheers!

We are still looking for investors, but we are very prepared for shooting now. Remember, its fully in house production. Its our own writer, director, cameras, producer, visual effect makeup (probably the best in germany, among the best in europe), team, postproduction, sound design, film recording etc. - all inhouse. We've been working a decade to put the team into this position and provide true full service at a high quality level. For this reason we can do proper calculation of the production value. And in first place we want to make the movie, not just money.

What are these zombie-looking undead commies?

They look familiar. :)

[Umm, I just answered my own question... Way to go, karapetkov!]

Hi Eryc,

the film is still in budgeting phase, not yet shot. So we are open to anyone who finds it intersting. Contact me via email and I can put you in contact with the producer.

About your production funding: Lets talk :)

Axel

Cool Axel, thanks for being open to talk. I'll get ahold of you as things progress. This week will hopefully prove to be a big one for us.

Karapetkov,

beware, I've watched your movie... Do you really think they look familiar.

Btw, nice movie you've done, nice story,

Axel

Thank god we got those "N"-word-topics in the German speaking countries...

...don't you think so, Axel? Nice teaser. Just wanted to tell you that I am a preparing a documentary in a similiar setting (fortress and bunkers), but in South Tyrol, investigating the truth behind a Nazi Gold story... got no zombies, though :whistling: But opens with a murder in 1996 that leads us back to those times... best luck for financing!

Cheers, Fritz (currently in a Munich internet-café)

Thanks for the attention. It's a stupid little thing. :)

About the zombies - I was joking [referring to our own local zombies].

Eastern Europe and the ex-commie bloc is full of stories... with all this turmoil in the past 100 years...

But...

"We're all free now".

;)

I'm really looking forward to seeing "Cold Storage".

When does it open?

:)
