Crank 2 (BTS)

[Miltos Pilalitos]

A video from the shooting of Crank 2 surfaced yesterday and although it's focused on Amy Smart's tits you can see a RED camera for a few seconds..

[Sebastian Cepeda]

where have you seen the red? I just saw an HVX 200 and a dvcam but no red... maybe I was just focused on the tities.. ;D

[Miltos Pilalitos]

The RED was on the tripod

[Brandon Fraley]

[Justin Kirchhoff]

[Brandon Fraley]

i was gunna say, those didn't look like HVX200's either

[Miltos Pilalitos]

Well, there has to be a RED around there! doesnt it?

EDIT: Oops! Just read the article William Robinette posted!! They left the REDS for a Canon XH-A1??? WTF! That's amazing!

[Jannard]

Brian told me that they would shoot Crank 2 on consumer cameras, then use RED on their epic western that is next on their agenda. I think they wanted total mobility on Crank 2... even at risk of the image.

Damn! We missed the opportunity for some 4K T&A

[Dave Cooper]

Ok now that we know RED isn't on set, how the hell did Chev Chelios survive a 2000 foot drop?

[Jochen Schmidt-Hambrock]

Somebody should shoot the Making Of with a Red.

Would be fun to have it have a better image quality than the movie.

[Miltos Pilalitos]

HAHAHA Oh My God! Fantastic Idea!!

[Justin "Danger" Levine]

word on the street is that they're using cannon's xh-a1 along with the hv series.
