HELP,FCP crashes with proxies, haven't upgraded to QT 7.4

Hi I am working with RED footage for the first time and FCP is crashing with the proxy files. I import to FCP and immediately once I drag the file into the timeline, it crashes. I have QT 7.3.0 still, I have not upgraded to 7.4.

Does anyone have any idea of what might be wrong?

FCP crashes here with the F proxy .. all other's work ..
will the proxy's play in QT player?

16:9 footage dont have proxies
