I am gearing up with a LA production company to direct some 3D red one work. We are not developing technology but just creating with it. First a few tests, a one take short, and then a feature. I'm familiar with some of the threads that have been here and reading about Gibby's work along time ago. However, when I search RED One 3D it says there are no matches which can't be true. Maybe they are archived? Even 3D drew a "no matches".

If anyone has great links from this forum or outside of it on 3D maybe we can compile it here for everyone. Even discuss what you've seen or read. For me the most cinematic thing I've ever seen was IMAX Space Station 3D. Changed my life. Although I don't know how you will ever top dual 70mm in outer space. Kind of did the best thing first. We'll see.....

I suppose it's not worth a sub forum as there are so many now. Maybe a sticky if it's good and people care. I don't know. Either way I hope I can come across more information personally. Thanks.

The search function in this forum sucks. Use Google instead!

Try the following search in Google:
site:reduser.net 3d "red one"

CML has a whole subforum on 3d... started about when Geoff Boyle shot 'Dark Country' on the Red and SI-2K cameras. Lots of stuff...both sides of every fence...and a lot of good stuff.

Yeah. I did this before I posted and found some of the threads but not all that I remember. As well as the Geoff Boyle stuff. Have there been any other productions besides those two to peoples knowledge?

It's been awhile since I've been over there. I'll check it out. Links?

We will be fully supporting Red for 3D as well as the workflow. To keep up on what we are doing check out our development forum at www.r88s.com ,
join ask questions, have fun. Our production studio is still in development so feedback is more than welcome. We will be staying at the state of the art for 3D, start to finish.
