We are shooting on a remote locaiton. No communication to the world pretty much.
No internet for sure.

As for shooting in Mexico.
We are on a safe location, private property so thats not the help im looking for.

I am looking for more the technical side of things.

Thank you for any ideas or advice in advanced.

Make sure your PM has a wad of cash to pay off the blood sucking local powers that be. Graft is a way of life in that country.

I'd have a look at this thread:
http://www.reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?t=12494

Obviously, lots of people are using Red and are happy with it. But not everyone, so if you are asking about things to be aware of, this mysterious codec fault has to be one of them.

Of course make sure you understand your post options, especially if you are shooting 16:9. That is temporarily unsupported by Quicktime and Red Alert, but "temporary" has been some five months now.

Thank you , ya were gonna have to stay in 4K 2 to 1.

Cars getting broken into when you go into town is something to be aware of. We've had our SUVs broken into a couple times down there, in northern Baja (San Felipe area).

Where in Mexico are we talking about?
