Today's Sydney 'Sunday Telegraph' newspaper had an article about singing Vanessa Amorosi's newest video clip and included a photo of her in front of the camera and it's a Red for sure.

Any idea who's shooting it and any chance of some footage?

Agreed, photo's a bit grainy but thats definately a Red.

Aus Projects being shot on red..

It'd be great to create an updated list of what current Australian projects are being shot on red.. Short films, Tropfest, Commercials, Music clips, whatever it is..

"stray dogs" shot on red #0031 in october 2007 - short film austin august director - some of the shots appeared in RED NAB Reel.

Feature in late May being shot on red #698

'There They Go' - Broken Silence music video

'Bad Boys' - Vice Versa music video

'Static' - Tyler's Riot music video

I hear a lot of commercial houses are keeping quiet about shooting on the Red...

Shooting in Sydney?

Shooting in Sydney?

Apologies in advance as this post is a bit off topic for this thread, but if anyone is shooting in Sydney and wouldn't mind a Terry Tag-along, I'd love to see a red in action. Our reservation will be coming up soon and we'll be needing to finalise our order etc. I especially would love to see the red raid workflow.

Just finished shooting the teaser section for our new feature "The Legend of Billy Sing" ... we shot on RED with Damien Beebe as DOP using the RED from Inspiration Studios in Melbourne ... with the camera being managed and nursed by my new favourite person Cail Young (a feature member of this Forum) ... who we might call Assistant DOP for want of a better term ... or perhaps a better title would be "General facilatator of everything technical"

The camera was a dream to work with ... the shoot featured some very realistic World War 1 trenches with some very real mud that would suck the unwary down to the knees in a moment ... nothing bothered the RED

The workflow (to date) was/is superb. We were shooting during the day then watching assembly edits of those same sections that night ...

The quality is amazing ... some of the images are simply outstanding ... I will post some samples as soon as I can get around to updating the blog and readers can judge for themselves.

Thank you Cail and Inspiration Studios and thank you RED ... The results so far, with this camera and this team, are breathtaking. I am delighted beyond words what we have achieved to date.

ooo Billy Sing. I hope the ending is as savage as the poor buggers real life. Where did you shoot? SA?

Well we don't go that far ... and the movie is called "The Legend of ..."

We are combining a group of some very well known (and some forgotten) bad guys and good guys into a fictional story based around the period 1913-1920 ... it is not a biography ... it is a "Legend"

By my interpretation Billy was very much the good guy ... despite his actions during the war ... and his sad death

With regards to his death he is often reported as dying from alcoholism, in fact he died from an aneurysm, most likely caused by mustard gas he encountered during the battle of Polygon Wood

Sounds cool. I think the saddest thing about the saga is that he died alone and a pauper after serving his country so valiantly. I'm against war & ergo the military but it really grinds my grits when people just get left in the dirt after making such huge sacrifices for their country. Its just one massive kick in the crotch.

Anyway, good luck with the film.

I shot the Vanessa vid. I am coming back to Oz in December to prep a feature shooting in Melbourne Feb 2009. It will be shot on Red. I would like to make contact with experienced red users/owners
