  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Who's got their EVF so far?

Yep I'm also hoping for my Red email soon, and delivery, well, as soon as possible. I also didn't want to bother with a LCD at all but without the EVF it's a bit difficult. I've decided to bite the bullet and get a Panasonic 8.4" LH900A for monitoring in the mean time.

We are taking orders on 7" RED PRO LCD. Been in the online store since the doors opened at NAB: http://www.red.com/store/product_detail/153 . Though it is for sale, it is not shipping yet. It should be shipping by early Summer.

EVFs, yes, production continues to ramp up. You can't make assumptions based on prior fulfillment as that does not take into account increased production rates moving forward. Our goal is to obviously produce enough EVFs to eat through the backorder quickly so we are shipping EVFs real time with camera orders. Therefore, our EVF production moving forward will logically exceed our posted camera production schedule.

Interesting... Randy wouldn't let me add it too my order. ???

I know you guys are ramping up production, hopefully the EVFs catch up soon... It's been a long and painful process so far.

My only concern now is that since standard LCD and LCD Pro are not swappable after purchase, knowing a little more precisely when both LCD Pro and EVF will ship would help to decide wether or not buying a regular or Pro LCD when my camera ships (guess two months by now).
I would like to buy the PRO along with EVF, but i dunno if i can resist to have a camera without portable viewing options for too long! :biggrin:

Chris, RED #179 does have an EVF allocated to it. The contact on the account was emailed of this fact. I don't see your name as the primary account holder, can you PM me with more details to clear this up for me?
