  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Soccer moms?

Ha Ha! LOL
As much as I want to use the Scarlet for "movies," I'm sure for those "other movies," it will come in "handy" too!

supergrafx, you are a genius. That's the one type of shooting no one has really mentioned for Scarlet, but which actually seems ideal!

Best HD porn camera ever?

Am I close?
Now THAT'S a soccer mom! :w00t:

It's called fun...? And these debates tend to be more interesting than the 90% other threads that have people tirelessly "express" their endless desires for $500 camcorder that does everything under the sun including cleaning and cooking.

can you COOK coffee? HUH!?!?

The Reduser defintion of Soccer Moms:

"Rich, Hot MILF who shoots her children's events on Scarlet and then pays handsome Reduser DITs big bucks to help her with post... as well as other "services." ;) Reduser DITs guarantee to be out the bedroom window in 30 seconds... or your money back.

I like that definition...

30 seconds? Even a dessicated, sleep-deprived soccer mom on a tight household budget, in her sweats with a whining toddler yanking on her arm deserves better than that pitiful performance!

We have dreams too, ya know....

About 4 years ago I bought a consumer HDV camera for $2500 and I videotaped for a Soccer Mom who happened to be my sister. While I was able to capture a lot of detail nevertheless I had major problems with motion blurring because the camera maxed out a 30 frames per second in the high definition mode.

Unfortunately even today most of the consumer HD cameras max out at 30 frames per second which make them a bad choice for fast action sports. Although there are some consumer 720p cameras that can shoot at 60 frames per second nobody will buy these cameras because most consumers insist on full high definition 1080 even if a 720p camera is sharper.

I think the Red Scarlett will be the perfect camera for the Soccer Mom because it will be able to shoot high definition video at 120 frames per second.
