Waiting for clearance to post pics.

In its first major performance, the camera behaved well for the most part, just one failed boot-up, one reboot to fix flickery lcd freak out and some occasional wierd white flashes in the monitor connected to the sdi out(???!!). Oh yeah - there was also a pronounced instance of the red to pink color shift issue. Otherwise the camera performed very well.

The odd trick to fixing a camera when it freezes while booting is to unplug the monitor - reboot and then plug the monitor back in after the camera has rebooted.

Ryley,

RELEASE is the operative word here. Was it the RELEASE build?

Thanks.

Redrunner, it was the second Beta build of 15, which had been working solidly for me. I did not have time to test the release build of 15 and the board chatter about issues with codec errors in the release version scared the hell out of me.

Matt, As far as the pink thing goes it wasn't really a screen thing - the guitar players shirt which was very red in real life but appeared electric pink on the red lcd and the panasonic monitor. In the r3d file the color shift is much less pronounced but still present.

the issue is discussed more here: http://www.reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?t=11422

The boot hanging problem and the lcd jittery is still an issue in the release build, there are easy workarounds, so really not a major issue. These things are still to be expected. There working on it and it will hopefully be fixed in the next release. If these pose to be major problems for you, then you can always revert back to build 13.
