Hi - I'm still finding my feet with the CS4 workflow, and at the moment entirely in PP I am cutting, correcting and mastering. Just for the moment.
I am opening up the source settings to do a basic grade in PP, but this a is a bit cumbersome as you have to trace the clip back to the bin (rather than appplying a filter directly to the timeline.)
So what are other people doing? I'm assuming if I use the source settings I'm adjusting RAW? but I if I apply a CC filter am I still adjusting RAW?
For instance there is no gamma setting on the source settings and the brightness/contrast levels don't seem to work like normal black and white levels, and I would like to do this.
Any pointers for the most appropriate basic correction workflow.
(I will deal with AE later!) but for now want the basic end to end in PP.
Is there any logic to working in REDCINE before PP? And finally where is the data stored for the RAW settings.
Many thanks. Tyrone.
