  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Red Mythbusters: Well done!

Excellent job guys. This is a REQUIRED link for all skittish clients.
Thank you Ted and Plaster City for doing this.
Cheers,
Harry

lol cute, guys :) well done.

i suspect maybe we aren't the audience, but I'd assume 99.9% of REDusers (camera owners or not) were already very familiar with that info. Any chance we'll get episode 2, 3, etc that delve a little deeper?

Thanks for that. Makes me feel better about the route I'm going with my camera and my clients' needs.

It would be great to see an episode on getting the project out of FCP.

Fortunately there's nothing really to see... Just "Export" your edited sequence to one of the many formats of your choice.

Or play it out to tape or a screen in their case via a Aja Kona card or others.

My front page 1,2,3,4,5 comment was regarding red.com... I should have clarified.

I know that changing the in-camera settings for Brightness, Saturation, Exposure, etc. have no real effect on the 4K file that camera creates but does it have any effect on these other Quicktime files that it creates at the same time? Probably not but worth asking...

My reasoning being to limit the amount of time doing color correction in post and or having to work with RedCine or Color.

The thing about Final Cut and real time is that I know you can play a proxy, we've all done it, but what's it like to really edit wit them?

If you have 200 clips in there does it work without freezing for dropped frames every 5 seconds?

Still, very encouraging.
