Just had a read of the Release Build 15 manual and on p56 is a little nugget I haven't seen before - it looks like a near-future build of RedCine will be able to export Photoshop PSD files!!

I like the way this is heading.... a batch conversion plugin for colour correcting a shot as stills in Photoshop using the full colour abilities that program provides would make for a fantastic low cost colour grading method, if price is more important than time. Plus After Effects can of course make use of PSD files as well.

All we need now is native R3D editing/ingest into the Adobe workflow and we're home free on the PC side.....

that also means we will be able to ingest 16bit PSD files into premiere cs3!!! That's great! (since premiere doesn;t support 16bit tiffs...only 8bit)

PSD will indeed be a slow method of working in various applications, but I do see the need of a proper support on the PC side.
CinemaDNG is very interesting, but the aim is an open format, fortunately not only aimed at AE and Pr.!
