First off, I would like to introduce myself.
My name is Anatoly Taldykin, and I am the president of Slow Motion Inc., a cinematographer, and North America's ONLY distributor of Elite Lenses.
For those of you who are new to these lenses, we've been selling Elites for over ten years here in the states and not once has anyone ever complained about neither the lenses nor our services.
It has recently been brought to my attention that someone on these forums is not happy with our services, and has some negative things to say about us. I encourage all who are unhappy with anything it is we have to offer to contact me directly and take it up personally. I do not appreciate those who are trying to sabotage both mine and my companies' names on a forum.
RED owners are just now only STARTING to use Elite lenses, but these lenses have been used for over a decade in the motion picture industry. Several of the most famous DPs in Hollywood have been more than pleased with Elite lenses, and have recommended them throughout the years now; Kees van Oostrum and Laslo Kovac to name a few. Whose opinion on this forum can compare to that of Kees' or Laslo's?
If people are unhappy with the fact that we don't have many lenses in stock right now, it's because we have had a huge waiting list since the RED came out; but that is no reason to speak negatively about us. In case you are interested, we do have short zooms in stock and available for purchase such as the 25-80mm Elite Lightweight Zoom; and a few wide angle lenses such as the 9.6mm, 12mm, 14mm and 18mm Elite. To acquire a full set, you have to get in line on the waiting list, and we require $300 non refundable deposit per lens. I understand that this may scare some people off, but believe me, we have PLENTY of people on the waiting list already. At this point, we have 31 sets on the waiting list, and if anyone is looking to acquire one, you are looking at 6-10 months before it becomes available.
I don't like to bullshit, and I don't like when people bullshit me or my reputation. I've built my reputation on being straight forward and honest, and don't expect people to perceive me as anything but. Let it be known that if anyone claims to be a distributor of Elite lenses, it's not true. I encourage those who come across these people to report them to me.
If anyone would like to come and do a lens test with your RED, we have one set available for tests only. If you are out of state, we can rent you a few lenses, provided that you have insurance, for $90.00 per lens per day.
I thank you for your time, and if you have any questions, feel free to contact me.
Best regards,
Anatoly Taldykin
