Any temporary cheap Hdmi Lcd somebody can mention to shoot with?
(preferably not a computer monitor (not too easy to battery power and carry :)

basically its not for focusing, just to frame the compositions..

I am not sure how big of an lcd you are looking for. Besides, I do not quite understand when you say "not too easy to battery power and carry"

But anyway, I am looking at an lcd hdtv from Costco. Item#: 251819, has hdmi input, sells for $350.00. A $50 coupon April 4th - April 20th. Resolution: 1366X768, 19", made by Sharp. Being an LCD, doesn't weigh that much, may be 10lbs. I don't know what your setup is. Running from battery, you need an inverter.

I do not have any experience using this monitor. If it does not work most likely you can return it.

Hi there.. thanks for your feedback :) I didnt specify well.. im looking for something i can hold with the camera as a temporary viewfinder basically..

Funny I was in Costco the other day buying family supplies and thinking about that very same monitor for my RED... I didn't realize the coupon though!... Just got the coupon mailer the other day! Thanks!

I figured I'd set that up on one side of my dolly for occasional client preview & to assist my focus puller.

The Carrion is the least expensive, battery-powered, HDMI/DVI-enabled, portable camera monitor that I know about. Works with the Red and shows the menus.
