Crimson (http://www.crimsonworkflow.com/) is a program that allows you to take your Final Cut Pro cut. which is comprised of the RED proxy/reference movs, and make RedCine read it properly. without this program RedCine will NOT read the xml, which baffles me.

Another words, RedCine can NOT read Final Cut Pro xml without Crimson being the middle man.

Crimson will also render your cut straight to quicktime or whatever other format youd like.

Please support this program cause without it Final Cut Pro users really cant use RED at all and who the hell can cut in RedCine?

Besides Garguilo's concerns, which are completely valid.
What is everyone else's point replying to this thread?

I use RedCine with Final Cut all day without any issues. Love it.
I have tried both Crimson and Anders' Automator script. Love those as well.

But running the simple workflow of RedCine to FCP works smoother and takes less time for me.

For sure. It does take less time and is quite useful. The current Crimson-less workflow works just fine. And you can get some pretty good stuff that way. But if you want to do any deep color correcting and such, roundtripping is definitely the way to go. For now.
