Shooting 8 Music videos in SoCal I can use anyhelp I can get.

Ambitious project.
Shooting 8 Music videos on RED with weak budget.
My background is MTV music videos for over 6 years so I took on the project with high hopes.

If there is anyone, anywhere interested to help out in anyway.
I can trade, borrow, rent ect.
I have many things to offer in return if we can work out a deal.


I am in need of Help with DIT and maybe a 2nd unit camera.
Would love to find a 1.3 super speed lens set.
and 25-250 zoom lens.
I need a full syke green screen, hospital, and dungon location.
go figure.

We are looking to shoot in LA areas, Oxnard, and surrounding locations.

First video will be this weekend likely.

Multiple videos will be shot in a single day format.
Hope to have 2 cameras running 2 scenes, potentially finishing 4,5 videos in 1 single day.

HEY DINO WHATS UP! glad to hear from you.

Ya I am Directing this will be my first real shoot with the RED.
I have about 45+ music videos under my belt as a director.
But these will be the biggest challenges yet.
I wish directing these was all i was focused on.

Unfortunately the budget forces me to produce, coordinate, production design, location scout, manage, rent equipment, beg and borrow so many things that i am not focused on the artist, style, concept and look of all these videos.

Then there is the post.
I will tackle editing 3 videos, the rest will be up for bids in editing. I have some leads on some guys but nothing set.
Workflow I am not 100% confident on what my route will be.
Currently looking to shoot 4K 2 to 1 edit in FCP composite in AE, have some high end 3D art work from a friend of mine i have no clue what he uses i think Bojou, Cinema 4D and Maya.
All donated, I know i will owe him big.
I think i will live in ProRes 422 HQ but i dont know yet.


It is what it is.

I took on the project due to the artists involved.

There is no doubt in my mind what so ever that these videos can only LAUNCH me into bigger better music videos.
So thats the latest.

So if you can assist with a playback system in the future I will surely use it.

Hey Lois! I'll be in LA for the next few weeks before I ship out to San Fran for a shoot. I have a prior commitment on Sunday but would be more than happy to come out and help any other time.
