  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

#694 arrived in Vienna

Laco,

can you imagine:

Affordable RED 4K digital acquisition system

and

P+S Technik's Interchangeable Mount System (IMS)

that makes possible to attach a wide range range of

cine and still lenses without swapping the main mount.

This going to be one of NAB hits.

Also is going to change industry of making movies.

And how it works?

It works like you have one main positive lock mount on camera side

and various lens mount adapters that you can swap on your lenses.

So you are not swapping the mount,

because you are swapping adapters on your lenses.

I think you should change your nick to MRS mad red scientist!!

you are always tinkering with ways to make a better picture.

Glad to see you finally have your cam and can put your ideas into practice.

have funa and congrats!!

Bruno,

Phaz sorry but

MR. is my gender and not MRS.

So that could be Mr. Mad Red Scientist.

We've got a name now and here we almost have a half of movie story written :) .

Also acquisition and post is here.

Just to raise some money for a "bear and pizza" :) .

Sanjin,

Congratulations! I will send you a nice bottle of an Italian red (wine, not camera) when I'm back in Europe since I can't ship from the US. Now, all we need is to see your Leicas in action and maybe for you and Finner to become friends :-) That day there'll be peace on earth...

Thanks Rudi,

by the way I'm not in a war with Finner, we are both just discussing here at the forum and sometime because of a nature of web forums you feel to be louder, it's like a sitting at "pretty" long bar table and shouting that somebody on the other side of "bar ocean" can hear and get what you wanted to say.

Anyway we are all sometimes funny here because of daily long hanging at the forum.

Sanjin i knew your passion about Leica Lenses do you have a plans for using
Some with Red .?:sarcasm:

Bassam,

my answer is yes.

With P+S Technik IMS or Birger Canon EF and adapters.

Whatever comes first.

Congrats, Sanjin. Happy shooting.

Sanjin, keep us updated on the P+S Technik development. That sounds like a very interesting option!

Omar

congrats to your new red - and the IMS on the camera is a interesting idea.

Thanks guys.

I'll keep you informed about what's going on as soon as I am in

Ottobrunn near München wher is P+S Technik Headquarters.

If that option will work well everybody could benefit from that

high and low profile shooters and filmmakers.

Here is one quote from our forum about the prices

Sanjin,

Congratulations, you received a revolutionary camera. Everything arrived. Your images are beautiful, but I there is something I don't understand.

Why isn't that bottle opened.

Sorry I did not have reserve one to shoot a sparkling drink in glass.

After the shooting the bottle was back in the fridge again,

then was keeping there and till it opened before dinner.

Suddenly RED catch me a bit unprepared.

Congratulations on finally getting your RED, Sanjin!
I remember first finding your postings on the web back in the early days of HDV with the JVC HD1 and Sony FX1 cameras. It's remarkable how far the cameras have come since then! Even so, we can still count on you to post clips from your lastest 'baby' to share on the web, along with your ideas to push the cameras in ways that maybe the manufacturer hadn't intended.
I look forward to your posting more about your efforts with the P+S Technik IMS on the RED.

Regards,
Bob England

Thanks Bob,

also I remember you well from all those HDV forums.

Yes, our "baby" camera have grown up fast and now became a young adult named "RED".

And of course I will post about P+S Technik IMS on RED development.

Regards

Congrats mate!

A virtual flute of Ferrari for you, cheers.

Thanks Elcurado!

Hope to have once together a glass of Prosecco.

Ciao!
