  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Does the RED camera create any text or XML clip list?

I was wondering if anyone can tell me if the RED camera creates any text or XML clip list? If so, can someone PM me so I can be emailed this file?

I know P2 cameras create an XML file for each clip.

No. It does not, however the REDline application can be used to extract metadata from the R3D files quite easily (only on OS X at this stage).

I have requested an XML clip list (like P2 and XDCAM) but don't think RED said anything official about it. I don't think it's on the map for them.
 
I installed REDline but I did not see it in my apps, how do you access it? Is there an instruction manual for it? I did not see one in the .DMG.
