Quick!black shading still going

my camera has said black calibration starting for about fifteen minutes? it has never taken this long. i just installed the latest build. should i leave it alone?

is it a really bad idea to power down while this process is happening?

You can power down and start the dark cal again. The next time around I would use a different CF card, that one may be fine but you should take it out of the equation just in case it is the troubled factor.

Dont think anything bad happens if you power down while black calibrating.
Just be sure to get a successfull calibration after rebooting.

Thanks guys. Seems to be working now. The cf card was "unformatted" after I installed the firmware upgrade which I think caused the hang up. I formatted it and it worked.

1. Install the new build
2. Format media
3. Black calibration!
