At the moment my priority is to get one mounting option like an universal mount because of that then I could swap many different lens adapters only but not a mount.

Once mount is fixed and shimmed then it easier to exchange lenses that already have adapter and all are made just for that universal mount.

I'm getting it after Easter holidays.

It's about Interchangeable Mount System (IMS) from P+S Technik GmbH München.

By the way testing Arri/Zeiss Vario-Sonnar 1:2.8 10-100mm vintage zoom that was a workhorse for S16mm cameras.

A footage of course is coming soon.

Check with Khmuse from museelectronic.
They are making canon fd adapters, which you can consider as a universal one.
Also they have nikon and leica adapters that you snap on the fd. Very fast service and very attractive price.

I am not sure I understand the benefit of this device, could you please explain further how it would work with the RED One?

If I understand correctly there is an intermediate positive lock mount, which sits on the RED, correct? Then if I wished to use use a PL, Canon, Leia or Nikkor lens I simply need only to sit the appropriate mount adapter on top of that to house the lens?

Hi Sanjin,

the Zeiss 10-100mm is a N16 lens. On S16 it will vignette considerably. On 2K it should work though.

Sanjin, what is the price of the IMS system with Leica R and M mounts ? The idea of an intermediate PL mount with the option to attach R or M looks both very convenient and providing rich opportunities. Looking forward to your tests!
