  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

NAB party plan

I humbly offer a t-shirt design for NAB'ers

How about "Red: Suck it!"

The humility will get us tons of gravitas and good will at various other booths on the show floor.

I never understood people throwing around "better RED than dead" on these boards. Always seemed more insulting than complimentary :\

I did not throw, just tossed. If you dont like that how bout.

My other camera is a RED or,

RED....its swell, or I went to NAB and all I got was this bitchin camera,

or......anyone? Bueller?

Back to the party...I must warn that with sufficient alcohol, I am capable of a complete singing of 'The Scotsman'

Ketch,

Bad news. No food allowed. We might have to find a way to sneak it in. Maybe put it in a camera case

Here's the exact lingo from the hotel.

To insure compliance with Clark County Board of Health food handling regulations, food will be consumed on hotel premises at the contracted time. The Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino is the sole provider of all food and beverage served on premises. In compliance with Nevada Liquor Laws, the Palazzo is the only licensee able to sell and serve liquor, beer or wine on premises.

Looks like no Italian for you guys this time!

But I'll see what I can do anyway, I could still try to bring a nice Huge Pelican case, filled with cold appetizers.:whistling:

Ciao

The key word is "sell & Serve" No one is selling anything any fees collected are for the training session Not for food or beverages!

My 2 cents... BYOB....and order a small amount of food from the hotel..hey it's Vegas everyone needs a cut of the action!

Then someone screwed up on where they booked the penthouse. Can a refund be had? Wherever last years DVXUser fest was perfect, TONS of food and booze.

The Reduser party really needs to be inclusive of food and alcohol.

this is bullshit, they just want anyone there to use there kitchen and catering so they can charge 85 dollars a head for finger food

Hey guys,

this is just in regards to me bringing in food. I'm sure that this event it is well organized from the start, with out my intervention in the food offering.

I probably shouldn't have posted this, it is not my intention to upset any one, just tough I would inform those that were be otherwise especting my food there.

I'm as sorry as you are about this.

Ciao

I'm going to look into this more carefully, to see if this is the policy in other hotels, but keep in mind that this isn't just a small private suite where we can kind of do what we please. There are a lot of RSVPs, and I'm pretty sure a lot of the people who have RSVP'd will come. Just to give you an idea, we're up to almost 140 people, and there's still plenty of time before NAB. When you get that many people together, with booze involved, the risks (insurance) go up quite a bit.

There will be food and drink there, no worries about that. It's just we may not be able to bring our own in. I'm bummed too, because I was looking forward to Ketch's offerings.

I'm open to suggestions, just keep the numbers in mind though. In fact, at some point, I'll have to cap the guest list and we are fast approaching that.

I'll do some more research and see what we can do.

Thanks for the patience guys!

Steve,

Thanks for all your hard work arranging this event. If we can't have alcohol in the suite the lobby bar is always an option!

Let me know if I can help!

Don't wary Steve, there will be some food to taste, a Pelican 1650 is getting the foam removed to make space fro food trays.:sorcerer:

it will be a tease , but a tasty one nonetheless!
