I have a RED 18-50 but no camera

I have a RED 18-50 which I rented for the weekend because I was supposed to receive my camera today but because of a screw up I will not receive it until Monday and so I have a rented lens but no camera. Besides that I promised to have the camera at the local advertising awards banquet here in Fresno, CA that we are co-hosting tonight and have nothing to show. What I need is a camera just to show, not to shoot for tonight. If someone wants to shoot a short or whatever else to test or play around tomorrow with the RED 18-50 then awesome. Later down the road I promise to shoot for a day with my RED for free practically anywhere in the state. thanks so much for reading, hopefully someone can help me.

Hi Justin,

I am so sorry for the inconvenience. Although we try our best to get the cameras out each day, we strongly advise our customers do not book anything until they have tracking numbers in hand. Also, ground shipping is not something we recommend due to the lack of visibility once the camera is shipped out of RED. Transit times are also much longer even if you live within California.

That being said, we did call Fed Ex and we tried to intercept your package so we could re-route it for Saturday Delivery, but because it is a ground shipment, we are unable to change the shipping preference.

Again, we are really sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks Kelly. Yeah, It wouldn't have changed what we set up a month ago for today but when we were almost positive it was going to ship last week and then kept hitting misc. delays it just never seemed it would slip to that. This week was our cushion on top of a cushion.

I was unaware of the lack of transparency in Fed Ex ground but time wise - I bought 3 camera carts, XLR's and a 20 x 20' silk from 3 different vendors all this week, all fed ex ground all shipping from LA and all three packages arrived in 2 days so the transit time is not a problem.

INDIE Rentals said they would give me this weekend for free if I keep it for another week. Don't call them asking for the same deal cuz I'm sure they don't want to hear 'well you did it for this guy.' but I'm just mentioning it to applaud them on their customer service.

It'll all be fine in the long run.
