it is a short clip, but if u have never seen these machines, it can be an interesting image.

you can't really see the faster frame rate on the object like this.
Although it's true that it feels soft, I like the composition and the image itself.
Thanks for posting.

Interesting subject matter, but the footage looks really soft. Is that a focus issue, lens issue, low-light issue?

It could be one of the above and all of them together and it is also could be that it is a digital issue. When you shoot against overexposed background the elements in the foreground become out of focus or to be more precise their edges are not sharp and that affect the whole image.
It is very evident in video/digital but also film is not immunized against that though it can produce a better image that the other

2K at real size will be slightly soft when viewed like this at almost 1:1, it´s a 4K camera but there are trade offs...

When doing footage at the "edge" of REDs performance like this, I imagine it will be well worth to concider the Masterprime series.

I still think it looks very good. (But then again I don´t expect every pixel to be supersharp at 1:1 at 4K)

EDIT: This was my 476 post on this forum, the very same number as my RED camera \o/

BTW, Dino, where did you shoot this, and did you have any trouble with people asking you if you had permission to shoot there, etc? I'm trying to plan out some timelapse shoots in a nice grove of these windmills. Looking for a location with not a lot of freeway or city light pollution.

I know a place out nere Mojave City off the 14 I might try once the weather cools down a bit.
