  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Released: Beta Firmware - Build 15

You should only use the phantom power if you have received the new upgraded mini-xlr to full size xlr cable.. if you still have the old mini-to-mini cable plus separate mini xlr to full size xlr adapter, dont use phantom power until you get the replacement from us.

Good to know.

I'm fairly sure we got the new upgraded min-xlr to full size xlr cable. Cuz that's what it looks like: a 4" cable with mini xlr at one end and full-size xlr at the other.

and the record goes around and around.... when are we getting QT 4k 16:9 support?

Please someone give me a straight answer.

* 4K _F, _H, _M and _P QuickTimes may crash QuickTime Player.

* Dual Link HD-SDI outputs replicate HD PREVIEW or PLAYBACK HD-SDI signal.

These two points interested me a lot on that long list in the middle of page 1 of this thread.

What is a 4K _F QuickTime that may crash QuickTime player I ask? Hmmmmm......

This is interesting, no? I've heard of 4K _H, _M, and _P QuickTimes before, but never a _F one. I like the sound of it.

Anyone care to elaborate?

As for the last point, what does it mean? Dual link HD-SDI having problems? I never knew there was dual link HD-SDI...

only when using phantom power ( for now ). You can use 3rd party XLR cables right now if your microphone uses an alternate power source ( AA battery, etc. )

That's pretty interesting. So basically the cleanest way to use the XLR inputs and phantom power is via your adapter to a standard XLR cable. Can you shed some light on what you guys are doing so 3rd party guys could make us up cables? Or is this something that's going away soon so it's irrelevant?

Thanks!

This new build is not letting me shoot 23.98 fps 4K 2:1 RC36 to CF card. I'm getting "Media too slow" when I try to record. I was able to record this no problem in build 14.

Any ideas?

Evin do you have the ghostbuster sign thru valid setting? I've got that through all 4k options in RC36.

I got the same message and by reformating, it works!:gun:

Luis

yes.. new file formats so the disk magazine needs to be remade, so you need to format the card completely.

Its actually a pretty complex issue that we have half-way resolved. The new patch cables resolve those issues and provide a much better audio signal, and makes sure the Phantom power behaves. When we completely resolve this, you can go back to using standard 3rd party cables (or continue using the new cables).

120 fps

120 fps

None of the 2K settings give me the 120 fps choice. Any thing else needs to be changed?

Sounds like you have new cable. Prior was an adaptor that was mini-XLR to XLR that you coupled with a mini-XLR to mini-XLR cable. All in one cable now!

goto Varispeed.. and remember, 120fps 2k only works when recording to Drive.
