#694 arrived at home in Vienna finally,

and all thanks to Kelly and Randy.

So now I am one more happy RED user.

I would not boring you with unpacking and other details,

it's just an arrival picture below and some FOOTAGE links.

All that shots were done after the fist time I booted the cam.

Also know that I have to learn and practice a lot with that cam.

Two footage as a fast done interior test (vintage PL lenses) and no any CC applied,

build 13, Kelvin 3200, ISO 320, Shutter 1/48, output gamma/LUT Rec 709, lighting 1000 W.

Both footage processed in RED ALERT! (v1.5.6).

Please right button click and save to download:

1. Arriflex-Zeiss 85mm T2.1 Standard at T2.8

2. Cooke 25-250mm Cine Varotal zoom T4 at T5.6

Test conclusion:

Arri-Zeiss nice, sharp, light but difficult to focus because the focus ring is too close to the PL mount.
Needs a special construction for the new focus ring.

Cooke also a nice and warm color rendering, but sometimes heavy CA and breathing.
The lens can be used as a good variable prime at the following "sweet spots":
wide (35mm), portrait (75-90mm) and tele (100-200mm) and the best between T5.6, T8 and T11.

congratiolations dear Sanjin !
we hope to see your stuff soon in the movie theater.

Bruno,

for sure not in a year in the movie theater,

how all is going "fast" in Austria and also in a life.

Cheers.

Thank guys.

About Birger still no news as we know.

Also I'm working to get one another "revolutionary" mount solution.

More detail about that when is ready for announcement.

Concrete,

thanks for a correction.

Of course my light is not in kiloWatts, it is in Watts.

It's ordinary HEDLER C 10 with umbrella (also pretty loud ventilation fan).

Sanjin " Congratulations :-) i am sure you will do some Magic with it :sarcasm:

Bassam,

a real life is magic enough today,

just take your RED in whatever indoor/outdoor space and press REC button.

After that all is going by itself :) .

Sanjin, when focusing with the standard speed take off one fin on the pl mount. Should make things easier.

Matt,

thanks for a tip.

I'll try it.

Thanks Gunleik, Karapetkov :) and Angryseven.

My next step is to put

IMS_SI-2K_Camera.jpg

P+S Technik's Interchangeable Mount System (IMS) on my RED.

Then I would have a chance to exchange various lens mount adapters

like PL mount, Panavision PV mount, Leica M and R, Nikon F, Canon EF,

Zeiss Contax/Yashica, without swaping the main mount

that makes a wide range range of lenses available.

That could be really something REVOLUTIONARY.

In the following couple of weeks I hope to show you something more.

Stay tuned.

Laco,

can you imagine:

Affordable RED 4K digital acquisition system

and

P+S Technik's Interchangeable Mount System (IMS)

that makes possible to attach a wide range range of

cine and still lenses without swapping the main mount.

This going to be one of NAB hits.

Also is going to change industry of making movies.

And how it works?

It works like you have one main positive lock mount on camera side

and various lens mount adapters that you can swap on your lenses.

So you are not swapping the mount,

because you are swapping adapters on your lenses.

Bruno,
