Personal finance issues prohibit me from being able to package up and rent the Red I just received. No projects on the near horizon, so selling it looks like the only thing to do.

Package includes...
-Red One
-Base Production Pack
-Red Power Pack

I will change/reroute tech emails to be sent to new owner. I will happily middle any need to use the 1-yr warranty, as I would be very curious to know what detailed issues with these cameras might arise, and wouldn't consider that an inconvenience. If you wish to use the Red Re-Certified Product Warranty service of course that is up to you.

I would really prefer a personal transaction in Las Vegas. So much so that I would even be willing to drive within 5 hours of Las Vegas to deliver the camera package for $150. For buyers outside that area a flat rate of $150 for shipping (the best FedEx method that will buy) will be applied to the final agreed upon price. Delivery outside of the US will not be considered.

Cashier's Check for payment in person. For shipping situation I would require buyer to use an escrow service of their choice and pay those costs (should only be $30 or so).

Bring your highest and best offer via PM by 7PM west coast/10PM eastern March 11th , and I will promise to get you the Red package as soon as prudence allows.

If you need business tax and/or insurance policy numbers to check up that I am a legitimate business entity just PM me and I'll send those along, as well as whatever other reasonable proof you might need.

Suggestion: May be RED will take it back, if you return it without opening.
Question: Why did you take delivery, if you did not want it ?

I wonder: Who would want to buy some one else's camera, without warranty, when they can get new one from RED directly for list price?

if i wanted a red camera today and ordered it today. Could I get it today Chuckt? The simple answer is no. Let the guy sell his camera. Its his to do with it what he wants. Sucks he has to sell it.

Just out of interest how much did the camera sell for? I see there is another one on Ebay too. I figure if you pay an extra $3k to move up in line is ok as long as you can make it back within the 1st month.

Whoops, listing pulled after Red complained to ebay about copywrite infringement (probably a pic I used from their site). I'll re list tomorrow and do a 3 day auction in order to get the package out to someone asap.

I wouldn't be surprised if they pulled it because of the use of RED's logo image and possibly hot-linking of it. I doubt it was due to not getting his price... The auction still had a few days and was over $20K as of last night. Unbelievable, really. I swear that most people trying to bid on a RED camera have no friggin' clue about how to bid on ebay. ...It's like someone sees a RED on ebay and after they wet themselves in excitement they go throw their max bid out there 3 days before the auction closes. Great for the seller in a lot of cases, but not good buyer rationale.

CrewPix... You're gonna have to do better than $6.00. I'm willing to bid $13.

I'm out then. Congratulations to the highest bidder.

Bbooze,

I will be in Vegas on 3/20/08 and will offer "cash on the barrel head"
Pm me for details.

Package re-listed on ebay. The copy write problem was the reason it got pulled, I suggest anyone confirm this with ebay before bidding so you know the situation is on the level.

Direct from Ebay: "We hope you understand that, due to privacy concerns, we're unable to discuss the details of why this listing was ended."

Are you saying Red filed a DMCA takedown notice on your auction due to a copyright violation?

BTW, the term is copyright.

Here is the whole email they sent me...

If it's that important to you, I'll happily forward the email so you can study it. My suggestion to any bidder would be to use an escrow service if you win... $ held by 3rd party, you get camera, fire camera up and make sure it's functioning, only then allow funds to be released.

I have no clue what process Red went through to get the auction closed, ask them. I also quoted a phrase from their website in my old auction's subtitle, so that might have ticked them off too.

how does one do the middle thing for warranty when the auction is clearly a sale ... i would think that RED has their eye on these sales and the terms stated ????

If something needs to be sent in and repaired, it would technically be done under my name, I will even make phone calls, track packages, pay bills (which would be reimbursed) or whatever I have to do to handle the issue as if the camera were still my own. The only difference is that the shipping address for the return of the unit would be the true owner's at location x.
