C'mon RED, Tease me, Abuse me...About the 4K Delivery System...

[planet e]

So...rampant speculation, little tease-y tidbits...all about SCARLET.

But what about this 4K delivery system? Can you torture us a bit about that before NAB?

please pretty please...

You know you want to....

Meryem, are you sucking to hard off that bong again?

ha, don't i wish! if only i had the excuse of being stoned before amusing myself in a public forum...

the tick tock of the clock while i wait for the stork to deliver my camera is driving me over the edge....

still, it wouldn't hurt to hear a few words about this stealth 4K system before NAB, would it? is it a "pocket professional" 4K delivery system?

i need rumors and vagaries!

[Jeff Kilgroe]

OK, I'm going to spill the beans...

The "4K delivery system" is a partnership with FedEx. They will have special foam-lined boxes for quickly packing and delivering your RED Drive full of 4K footage anywhere in the world at a nice fixed rate. The box also has an optional self-adhesive insert that allows you to place up to 24 CF cards snugly inside.

Of course, this is also a 2K and 3K delivery system, but it's not as impressive to market it that way.

why wait? The owner of #303 if selling his camera. You can get it without any wait, for same price. Buy #303 and cancel your own reservation.

[planet e]

silly man! mine is already paid for, and i'm sure they are boxing it up, tenderly and lovingly, as we speak....

besides, when you purchase second-hand, you forfeit the 1-year guarantee, you have to have the cam re-certified by RED to purchase the 90 day guarantee, yadda yadda yadda. the secondary market is not a good choice, when we are soooo close, my precioussssss....

better to wait on my very own #1008, mine mine all mine, that i have yearned for and pined after, nigh these past lonely 18 months. soon, soon my pretty....

someone hand me my RED camera quick, gollum...
