  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

red#0031 to travel to tanzania wednesday

we did visit moshi, kilimajaro, the serengiti, the migration camp, and the island of zanzibar. i think i have posted production stills fro all of the locations. the internet is not a easy thing to use here in africa. the DOP Yon Thomas and I are at the Nirobi, Kenya airport right now, but it takes literally 4 minutes for this page to load, and that is a vast improvement over the service we have experienced over the last two weeks.

the country is beautiful, the people are warm and the images we acquired under the talented eye of Yon are breathtaking. as this is an industrial film, it will be a while before i can post actual shots from the job, but i will try and give you all an early taste.

btw you can look at some of yon's work on his website which i linked in the above reference. for those of you in europe, he works on that continent so be on the look out for his work on your local TV station.

thanx

Nice shooting location pics, especially excited to see that Red One support the high temperature of Africa. Please tell us how it all turns out, whether or not you ever encounter any overheating issue.

well this time of the year is not too hot, i set the cameras to either variable or auto with out any problems what so ever and i am using the first gen cameras

Thanks a bunch Kosmos3d for the valuable informations. Please anyone else who has had similar testing ground hands on experience to report on the Red One behaviour with high temperature.
