On the Red's web page:
http://www.red.com/shot_on_red
By the web page it looks like the movie Jumper, which is now on theatrical release all over the world, was shot with Red
Was the whole movie shot with red or just parts of it? and which ones?
If not the whole movie was shot with the red camera, then, the web page is misleading us and we are taking part in this by not insisting on the truth.
It is strange that a worldwide theatrical release movie which looks like shot with the Red and no one react to that.
Anybody knows?

I am well relaxed

I am well relaxed

I am well relaxed.
And you?

I'm glad you are in fact relaxed, this statement just led me to think otherwise. Glad I was wrong.

Oops, I forgot I'm supposed to fill the light-hearted part of my post with a bunch of smilies so no one gets upset.

First part was meant to be helpful, second part was not meant to be condescending. I just thought it was funny that he claimed we're all part of a conspiracy by not calling out that part of their "Shot On Red" website.

I thought what he said was funny, not offensive. So it doesn't make sense for me to be condescending.

Hope your day gets better James!

You guys crack me up.

Now i'm offended that someone else was offended.:sarcasm: :usd:

:shifty: :detective2: :w00t:

apologies for Randy for being sarcastic usually I'm total serious!

P.S. saw jumper, couldn't tell what was red or not, which is a good thing

Just some insert and fx shots were done with the Red. I believe cameras were provided by OffHollywood and the DP was Lon Stratton.

Lon Stratton was NOT the DP.

All the shots on RED in the film (there is more in the final cut than I was told - including an entire scene) were shot by Doug Liman himself with our cameras.

Which shots and scenes?

Please fill us in Mark.....

thanks for the reply, are you meaning 2:1 as windowed or cropped.

My bad Mark, I was talking to Lon today about Red and we were discussing Jumper. All I was asking him about was the image and the camera and what he thought of it. Don't know why I never actually thought to ask him what he DID on the shoot.

Let me clarify for everyone, Lon never told me he was the DP on the Ann Arbor unit Red material, that's just my fault for assuming he was. Obviously he liked the camera though, since he ordered two! And he had good things to say about you as well Mark.

Yes, please tell us what scenes! I wasn't planning on going to see the movie since I heard the story is rubbish but I'd love to see some RED footage in a theater.
