you can go with the xlr adaptors,
but Element Technica has a Breakout box.
i would order more CF cards,
bolt sets
did i say that Element Tehnica has pretty cool stuff?
EVF Mount, Handheld rig, rods,
arri 19 mm base plate

Jim,

Everything looks fine, more CF Cards, 2 only is only about 6 minutes of 4k recording; but a few of the items you have ordered are not out yet. The prime lens set, and 50-150mm zoom aren't out yet. All in all it looks like a nice set up, have fun!

You should - and I'm surprised more people aren't saying this as well - order spare cables. Whichever cables you are ordering, order at least 3.
Cables fail, get damaged/lost... then what? Wait for new ones?

Still up in the air on the lithium-ion battery issue - will probably go with Anton Bauer - we carry quite a stock of Pro Packs for our other cameras.

Figured that each drive came with a cable so that would give me spares. Getting other spares for some cables but don't know about the EVF/LCD cable situation and what spares are required.

You need to determine if you're going with 15 or 19mm rods, taking into consideration the compatability issue with ARRI and location issues, supply shops, etc.

Tail Ends

Thanks to all of you so far - we're primarily 19 mm rods and that's the setup for our Arri matte box and follow focus - but since we also are a rental house we included the 15 mm adapters.

Regarding costs - we're looking at a total of around 135K including Sachtler sticks, matte box, follow focus, filtration, cases, and miscellaneous accessories. It's still a far cry from our F900 that tricked out was almost three times that. This number may go up as we look at other lensing options - we understand the limitations of the RED lenses but also have to look at the local marketplace - I think they are a great fit here.

But I do have to admit that I loved my old Zeiss primes.

Still figuring out motors - love my MicroForce and Preston motors - may just use those for now. Is anyone else using a MicroForce?
