  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Well renting is a way and buying is an other, obviously after you spent 10k then you have still no camera, so renting and buying are two completely different things, you are a renter or a buyer. Buying a camera is also an investment, and you then can rent it out to make the money back or shoot many projects to come with out ever paying any extra $$$ in rents fees.

Not really...the independent renter really doesn't have a whole lot of options as this camera is commoditized daily as new shipments are received not withstanding the arrival of "scarlet". My point is if I need the cam asap...I can rent now rather than paying a premium (mind you with no warranty) while my 3000+ camera is shipped within 3-4 months (with a warranty). But to each his own....

On a side note: Ketch, I'm a firm believer in free markets so If you can get that premium, the more power to you. I'm sorry that you're going through this rough period -- God know we've all been there one way or another.
 
Come one guys instead of bringing any negativity into this thead how about trying to help him or or at least give him words of encouragement. He has been through some serious shit and he needs a little cashola.

So seller makes some cash and buyer gets and awesome camera months before they could otherwise. Everybody happy.
 
Yes I agree with you that for some there is no other option then renting, but then again if you do have a project or the need for three months of rental, then is clearly better to put the $30k in buying a camera rather then renting one, this is my opinion and how I see in my way of doing business.

I thank you very much for your support Davis,

however, every one is entitled to their opinion and right to expressed.

As I was posting I received a PM by a fellow REDUSER, which pointed out his support and concerns about my situation, but also in the hope of not offending me pointed out the fact that I involve my self a bit much sentimentally in my posts and share a bit to much of my missfortunes as it looks if I was trying to hard in getting help because of it, at list this was my interpretation of it.

I find it to be not offensive at all a it is in deed, in part true, I do express to much of my self, but it is not in the intention of getting any one to fill bad for me or to get free help from anyone, it is just the way I'm, I have never shut up in class and always had something to say about everything, always respectfully but at times annoing to others, but all in good faith.

I can not change my personality, but I do know my flows, and I thank the people that try to help pointing them out, but some of them are just burried deep inside of my persona that are impossible to change.

At last, Unfortunately for this forum, this is basically the only place I can talk (write) to any one about anything.

Well the market will decide i guess how much above retail they are willing to pay for. Im sure you'll do well one way or another, The current offer for one at $25k would have me thinking seriously though, not bad profit for not lifting a finger? Unfortunately the longer you wait the less the demand :sad:

But the days of $30k+ resales may not be over yet!

thanks, but I can't count my chickens yet, no one has yet sent any money, and one deal seems a bit so so, but that is why I'm still considering other offers as well, I want it to make sure that if one person does not come true, I have a back plan waiting.

I hope our path meet some day as well, I always love to meet my fellow REDUSERs.
