Just one RED LCD cable around the world...

This Monday I received an email notification by FEDEX on the delivery of a parcel from RED. I was overjoyed as I thought that it meant that the RED EVF had been sent for shipping. However, after having received a small parcel from FEDEX I was totally disappointed as it contained just a small RED LCD cable (which you failed to deliver earlier, probably by mistake). I was further disappointed when the failure to deliver the cable in the earlier parcel resulted in the following additional expenses:

1. FEDEX Shipping costs – 80 KM (60 USD)
2. Customs Clearance Costs – an exact amount due is still to be determined
3. Shipping Agent services – 120 KM (95 USD).

So, at the end, the cost of a single RED LCD cable was:
335 USD (180+60+95 USD)!!!

Although this was not a big issue but just the additional unnecessary cost, especially considering the fact that this cable, which is a spare cable anyway, could be delivered together with the RED EVF.

Sorry, backordered items ship as soon as they become available. And, you still are a little ways off from your EVF so the LCD CABLE would not have been grouped with it unless it was immediately available.

We do attempt to ship in as few shipments as possible, for sure.

Lets say it straight:
This is very unfair for the customer who is paying 335USD for a small cable.
This is part of all the big companies, corporations, banks, insurance companies and others. We, the little consumers are paying big bucks. I am not saying Red is like that, though we check the Red store we will find evidences for that too.

I totally agree, $300+ for a cable is crazy.

RED is an amazing company, that's for sure. Fixing the little issues - the ordering process, occasional overcharging, accessories which are different in quality from those advertised (anodizing) - will only confirm our trust in it.
