Just got a new Mac Pro and have it set up. Can't install/boot any OS on it prior to 10.5.1 that ships with it due to the video card and other hardware. This means I get QT 7.4 right out of the gate. This is already screwing with my RED workflow tests... I need the QT 7.3.1 installer package so I can surgically remove 7.4 and get back to work.

latest MacBook Pro with 10.5 ... & QT 7.3.1 ?

latest MacBook Pro with 10.5 ... & QT 7.3.1 ?

Here's a great resource for pretty much all the QT installers:

lots of them

Hi all, need to get one of the new MacBook Pros, which now ship with 10.5.x & I suspect QT 7.4.x.

Is it possible to de-install 7.4.x and install 7.3.1 ... ? Anybody running this config out there ? Stable with RedCine ? :umm:

THANKS ...

Current Macbook Pro systems still run OSX 10.4.11 just fine with QT 7.3.1.

You should be able to uninstall QT 7.4.x and install 7.3.1 though. As I've got my macbook pro running OSX 10.5.2 w/ QT 7.3.1 and it's working OK. It occasionally gives me blank thumnail images, but exiting and restarting REDCINE usually fixes that. That has been an issue on that system since REDCINE was first released though, probably not a QT or OS version issue. My macbook pro is also the previous model with the x1600 GPU.
