Sure hope someone with a RED can capture the lunar eclipse tonight. It's supposed to be very RED!

Yeah, it was fairly red, here's a quick and dirty shot. Nikon D-200, 2000 asa, 2 second exposure.

Here's one more, a bit redder. Sorry for the blurriness, I was almost shooting hand held, with my elbow on to top of my car's roof, and the lens was just a 200 mm. Sure would love to see a frame off of Gibby's 600 mm...

I shot some footage with my little HV20, but don't think it's worthwhile to post it. Rudi, I had my little tripod propped up on my car as well. It was a great site. Wish I had my Red armed and ready to go. In 2010 I will shoot the next Lunar Eclipse in 4K. For now I have it in 1080.

Any More than about 1/30 sec and you get blurry moon.

That's very nice also. I could see some sort of "Red Moon Rising" tie in for marketing with that shot.

looks promising how about a bit bigger redcine output.

I was out in the 10 degree, frigid but super clear night sky with the 300mm also. Dying to see what it looked like (I'm offloading it to my hard drive even as we speak). I'll try to post a shot as well.
