Yeah, it was fairly red, here's a quick and dirty shot. Nikon D-200, 2000 asa, 2 second exposure.

Here's one more, a bit redder. Sorry for the blurriness, I was almost shooting hand held, with my elbow on to top of my car's roof, and the lens was just a 200 mm. Sure would love to see a frame off of Gibby's 600 mm...

I shot some footage with my little HV20, but don't think it's worthwhile to post it. Rudi, I had my little tripod propped up on my car as well. It was a great site. Wish I had my Red armed and ready to go. In 2010 I will shoot the next Lunar Eclipse in 4K. For now I have it in 1080.

Based on where we are at right now with 4K I don't see 8K happening in 2010. It's fun to dream though.:sarcasm:

It had been clear all week. In the Horizon I watched the Moon rise about the frozen sea here in Alaska. Today it was a blizzard and may even make it tough getting back home tomorrow.

I missed it, so thank you all for posting the great shots.
