who is still producing geared head ?
Arri than?
I was thinking about a more compact design compared to the Arri head

Worral is smaller than Arri and Mitchell made a mini version that is much smaller than Arri.

i'm sure Worral is out of business since years
don't know about Mitchell but it seems they are out too
Used products only.
Some on ebay

The Mini worral is about the same size as the arrihead. Pretty similar specs. Arrihead has the tilt wheel swivel to the right. I believe this was originaly to clear 1k' mags on the BL-4, I may be wrong. Arriheads go for around $20k used. Mini Worral about 4-8$k depnding on condition. Ken Rich currently has 2 mini worrals and I believe a technovison head. The miniworal was made by CP and they are out of buisiness. Many parts are still available, and unless you brake a casting all parts could be made by a competent machinist.

It may be because I own it, and am used to it, but I did a movie with an arrihead right after a long job using my mini Worral, and I liked the Woral better. When they are poorly maintained, they suck, but so do most things.

Cheers,

Nick

I'm very happy with my mini-Worral. Make sure it's in good shape.

Mini worrall was always nice and simple and light. wouldnt mind one now actually!

think there was an earlier version that had a stop in it on the pan? seem to remember having to always line it up to that. bit of a pain but it think they fixed it with the 2nd model.
