RE: RED Digital and CVB- Jim, go ahead, spill the beans

Now that so many of us are beginning to spend our money on matte boxes, follow focuses, and Lens Mounts, this is probably the best time to reveal what REd Digital and Curt have been brewing for us because . I, for one, wouldn't wanna fork out my hard-earned money now, and find out a week later that Curt and them are coming out with a product that better fits my needs. So Jim and Curt, please tell us wassup, what are you guys working on as far as lens mounts, matteboxes, etc.
Please understand, we need to make some important decisions on how to best spend our money.

I'm wondering if Red has partnered with View Factor on this. Don't want to start any rumors, but Curt sounded like he wasn't able to say much on his own forum. Maybe they are just really swamped and that's all it is, but I'm beginning to wonder if there is a big announcement coming our way sometime in the near future. If he has a great design and they can implement the design for a much better price point then Arri and deliver a rock solid product then Red wins, Curt wins, and of course we win too.

This is all speculation on my part.

See what Jannard said in the above post. To my mind that statement pretty much confirms that VFS is working closely with RED and possibly why Curt has been quiet of late.

My point is that at this juncture, we deserve to know what it is they're working on, what other options there are to be considered before we start committing our money to the products we are being offered right now.

Uh, I don't know Jaadgy. They really don't owe anyone anything when nothing is official, everyone is under NDA, and quite honestly those who love the Arri products and can afford them will go with what they know. We are all anxious to see what exciting products will hit the street soon, but we are not owed that information. Now if you were anxious about getting your Red camera, that's another story. You've put money down and you're anxious to get it. But give them some slack on the other stuff.
