Damn exchange rate! Including the £20.00 for shipping it cost me $318 just for the one filter! They don't take AMEX so I had to use my mastercard with only $400 limit. I hope I got the right filter since I could only get one....

I'm looking at Red Rock Micro's upcoming mattebox. It's looking like it'll be an amazing deal for what they're promising to deliver. Not the highest build quality maybe, but it should work fine. I'm not ready to spend $2-3k on a mattebox...

Cool sale, but those have color corrections built in. So make sure that's what you want.

Regarding the Redrock Mattebox, the latest build is all metal, including the filter trays, and it looks solid. The pricing estimate they have been quoting is $500. There's still no official release date... this is the latest word (as of 9/12) from their forum:

"I don't have a release date yet from the guys in engineering, but I *promise* the moment I have one you all will know. I do know they are looking at a couple of components that need a better supplier, so that accounts for some of the delay here."

Hopefully soon, but a lot have been hoping that for some time. Still I think the price and quality will be worth the wait.
