In my experience at least 50% of mail in rebates don't pay out. Maybe you were too late, maybe your receipt wasn't an original (or wasn't original enough coming from a mail-order company), maybe they 'lost' your UPC code, maybe they decided to ignore you make it your job to you to prove that you are eligible (but by the time you find out the promotion has been over for months).

I would never buy anything based on these rebate-scams. The odd time you actually DO get the rebate you can consider yourself lucky, but unless you keep meticulous records, receipts, proof of delivery, and copies of everything, these 'rebates' are rarely worth the effort.

Test it yourself - think of a good question to ask and try to contact a human being at the 'rebate processing facility'. If you can get a definitive response from a human with the authority to respond, I will rebate your entire purchase price (subject to a whole lot of terms and conditions.)

Too true! but i think lexar is a brand that would be serious about this, but ill look into that. Im emailing them today on this.
