L&T gives error on spanned clips

We recently shot some long interview sessions on the red. Some sessions were single takes of 45min. I copied the files over and brought them into log and transfer to make native redcode quicktimes. I added my selection to the que and it started to render. The short clips are coming out fine, but any of the long takes which spanned over the fat32 limit and created multiple .r3d files are giving me a red exclamation point and "error:unknown" i'd like to stick to this workflow but obviously won't be able to if i'm not able to get these long takes transcoded. Has anyone else had this issue or know of a fix?

Not seen any problems with spanned clips. Are you sure the files are not
corrupted in some way?

Why not try transcoding an interview or two using REDrushes? If that works then you know for sure it isn't a problem with the files themselves, just L&T.
