MTI Control dailies - seeking info.

Hi everyone.

I am researching information for a 3D stereo workflow with the RED One, and I would like to know if Control Dailies from MTI has been used successfully on this type of shoot ?

I have read from the MTI website that they've commited to support the RED format natively but there is no customer success stories available on their site.

If their system hasn't been run through its paces, what should I be looking into ?

They showed the new system dedicated to file based work three weeks ago at the HPA conference. But the obvious question is: Have you tried picking up the phone and calling them? I'm sure they would be more than happy to answer any questions you have.

Hi Louis,

I agree with Mike... pick up the phone and call them! Ask for Belinda or Larry. Either one will be able to give you all the information you need.

Also, just a warning, Control Dailies is a fairly expensive system. You do get what you pay for - it's a pretty cool system and does a lot of impressive stuff - but it is waaay beyond the "guy in a garage." : )

I will follow your leads.

Already your answers have confirmed some of my assumptions.

If I may ask, where does Scratch fits into a stereoscopic pipeline ?

Is it only for grading or could you also synch sound (if needed ) and downconvert in realtime from 4K to 1080 24p HDSR ?
