  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

RED in RAin City? Seattle WA USA?

:( I totally forgot about this until yesterday late afternoon while I was stranded in a car with friends. For some reason I was thinking it was on Saturday and thought I had missed it. I ended up driving home to Portland last night to get some work done today and now I'm seeing it was actually today. Sorry guys. :( It would have been great to meet the few of you who went.

The meeting went great today. Thanks to all that could come. We will set up another shortly. And then possibly plan some sort of shoot or something when people start getting their cameras.

I am getting an e-mail list going so for anyone who couldn't attend, PM me your contact info and I be sure to send out some e-mails before the next meeting.

I'm (obviously) not there.

Am at home with a sick kid. Sorry. Hope all went alright and sorry for throwing a party and then not showing up.
Jesse

PS. Perhaps someone could be so kind as to post up a "what happened"

Meeting recap:

It was nice to meet everyone. Its good to have such a diverse group of people from different technical backgrounds. It will be cool to see what kind of projects come out once all the cameras start shipping.

At the meeting we talked about potential workflow issues, and ideas, etc. Also, about what type of lens packages/ choices would work well. TJ enlighteded us with some pretty funny and interesting stories...:) and all in all, it was a great meeting.

Basically....main consensus....its GOOD that they are doing the beta testing because none of us want a partially functioning RED. And the beta tests will most definitely make it better for the res holders. I am hoping that the early tests will help in developing an efficient workflow, camera functions, and then learning how far you can really push the image. etc.

Overall, good meeting. lets start planning another.

The good news: I shot a music video on Sunday. The bad news: couldn't make it up to Seattle. I'm sure a mere future renter wasn't missed much, but I would love to meet fellow NW redheads.

Sounds like the meeting went well, I'm glad Casey is putting together a contact list. Count me in for the next meeting.

Cheers,
Sean

It'd be cool to see this happen again, hopefully I could make the next one!

Hey Shawn, when we have another one you should bring your camera up so we can all drool over it. Or you could knock me out with it so I go into a coma until my camera is delivered.

Mine's not scheduled till November, and I may wait till its code complete. (Not in any hurry and its financially smart for me to push the purchase off till next year.)

Dude's, haven't even had time to check dis chit. Between my baby boy, remodeling the house and constantly shipping me and #13 up and down the westcoast (mostly LA) I've been blind to most of these threads.

As far booze goes...I like Crystal.

As far as women...I'm happy.

You guys want to check #13...lemeno...we'll make it happen!

Shawn...give me a shout bro!

B.

I would like to request for the Seattlelites to get some beautiful downtown architecture and pike place... and a view from Queen Anne Hill.

...and some Alki.

Thanks.

oh, I was just requesting... I'm in NY for the time being but I often visit Seattle. Will hit you guys up if I'm in town- but not looking to make things awkward since I'm an outsider. I get my RED, if all goes well, late next year.

so have you guys shot anything so far?
