Ok so this time we filmed with rec709.

The colour space and gamma space are rec709.

I want the proxies to edit with to be redspace/rec709 not 709/709

When I re-generate they dont change but all other settings do :-/

Is this a "feature" ?

Currently as far as I'm aware there is no way to change the colour space used by the proxies, even when you re-generate them. Don't know why since it's only meta-data.

I never cut with the proxies myself, so just make cutting copies using RedSpace/rec709 in Clipfinder or Red Rushes, no matter what colour space was used during shooting.

Cheers Nick.

Cutting first thing after the shoot and had no time to get to office with drive to set renders off. Will see how long they take to make but only cuts so will have to do on this job!

Thanks again.

If I might ask a question.

How did you shoot Rec 709 colorspace and Rec 709 gamma?

The only control I know of at the camera is for gamma? (redspace, rec 709) I've always assumed in any case.

I know the monitor output is set to Rec709/Rec709. And doesn't reference the camera matrix. Which I still don't understand to be honest. If anyone can enlighten me on this point, I'd love to learn why this is good and not something that just makes clients freak out as the colors are all skewed.
