ERROR_RECORD message

hi everyone

We've faced lot of errors using build 17 and our red 4320 during a shooting in Miami yesterady.

It was really hard to work having so much issues. Three type of error : first one is the camera rebooting when trying to playback shots. Second error is stuck in post. Third one is Audio record error leading to a reboot of the camera.

Very frustrating.

Camera owner is about to send it back to red. I'll keep you informed about what was wrong with the camera as soon as I know.

I'm currently using B18 and it runs great! I get internal record error every once in a while but does not in any way halt production. We also record audio on 2 channels flawless.

Curious to why you are still using B17?

Because B18 is beta and we're working on a feature length film. We want to make sure everything works correctly.

I'm still on B16 because of all the errors I have been hearing about with 17 and 18.

Seems that a lot of people are facing these problems

But we had few more problems, see first message.

But Red team has been very helpfull, and acording to them, it seems that our red drive is the reason of so many problems (playback, audio errors)

They've just told us everything is ok with the camera. Good to hear that.

I have been getting an "record error audio" on 16GB cards. Build 17. Audio Rec enable on channel 1 as line. Usually happens when I don;t have any audio plugged in from the mixer, and forget to uncheck the Rec Audio enabled. So if i get this error, I just unchecked it, and it seems to work again. But it is quite anoying. I know I should uncheck the Rec Audio enabled if I am not getting sound, but it is quite anoying.
