EVF Issue

Just set up my EVF for the first time and when it boots theres nasty blotches over the frame almost like smears and missing parts of the lcd way down inside the glass. It doesnt come up to color either - everything looks washed out and greenish -

anyone have any thoughts or is my evf screwed?

I'm having an issue also where everything in the EVF looks like its only putting out 256 colors so there is serious color banding. It's been happening the last 3 days and nothing gets rid of it.

Hey you guys are lucky. 'EVF not Selected' message on my cam which is being managed in South Africa at the moment meant a return to RED HQ. Sent back to SA only to have the same deal on multiple cams. Tested another EVF on same cams and all worked. Now a second, costly, return of the gear from SA to Cali. Pain in the butt to say the least. SA Customs are not the most gracious of agencies to deal with down there.

Two returns and a loss of income. Not a great taste left by that deal.

I had the "EVF not selected" message because of a faulty cable. Make sure its not that.
